‘Water seeks water. From water shall rise not one but two entwined. Fates may unite. Yet, it may not. If the heart not seeketh the one that is lost.’ – The prophecy What happens when you’re told that the life you were living so far was only a lie? Nineteen-year-old Nilza Wangmo’s mother has gone missing, and with the hope of finding her, she embarks on a journey to Béyul - a mystical land hidden deep in the Himalayas behind invisible portals. What awaits her changes everything. Ruled by the queens, Béyul is a land both ancient and modern where oracles divine dangers and future, where a mythological creature walks its mountains and people travel only by air. Under an imminent threat, Béyul needs Prince Wangzin – born part-human, part-beast, carrying an ancient legacy – to unite with his chosen consort in order to awaken his power. A retelling of Beauty and the Beast using ancient Himalayan myths and folklore surrounding the yeti, Béyul Hidden Lands is a spellbinding coming-of-age tale of love and adventure.
